Teaching

I love teaching others because I learn so much. I’ve been fortunate in having opportunities to teach at various universities, in a variety of subjects--drawing, painting, life drawing, design, color pencil drawing and gouache.

Through teaching and mentoring I believe I’ve helped many students determine what “it is” that they wish to add to the visual lexicon. Then, I encourage them to discover the style, imagery, format, and medium which will best express their ideas and experiences. I always encourage students to deeply reflect on who, what, and why they are unique individuals and to base their oeuvre on this innate knowledge.

It is my pleasure to share my experience as an artist—in hopes of helping others in their pursuits.
